P&G Accuracy Study

Privacy Policy

Draft. This text is waiting for confirmation by P G Accuracy Private Limited.

This page explains what P G Accuracy Private Limited collects on this site, why, how long it is kept, and how to have it erased.

What we collect

  • Account and order details: your name, email, ICAI membership number, mobile number and city.
  • Payment details: your payment reference (UTR), your payment screenshot and, where you give it, your UPI ID. The screenshot is stored privately and only our admins can see it. We never see your UPI PIN.
  • Payouts: your UPI ID and PAN, asked for only if you request a referral payout.
  • Reading activity: which pages and topics you open, your last position, and your reading and listening progress.
  • What you make: your notes, highlights, pen markings, bookmarks and revised marks.
  • Security details: login times, your IP address, your browser and device description, and a random device identifier.
  • Notify me: your email and the book you asked about. For a referral click or a Notify me request we keep only a scrambled form of your IP address.

Why we use it

We use these details to deliver what you buy, verify payments, issue invoices, send access and order emails, run referrals, and protect the books from copying.

Every page you read carries a visible mark with your details and an invisible mark tied to your account, so that a leaked copy can be traced back to the account it came from.

Your notes and markings

Your notes and markings are private to you. Another reader can never see them. Our admins see counts only, not the content, unless they are investigating a reported problem, and any such access is logged.

Cookies

We use only the cookies this site needs to work: one for your session, one that identifies your device, one that remembers a trusted device for 30 days if you ask it to, one that holds a referral code, one that tells our public pages you are logged in, and one that marks a browser our staff have logged in from. There are no advertising or analytics cookies, and the site loads nothing from other companies.

Who else handles your data

Our site and our email run on Hostinger. Your UPI payment goes through your own UPI app and bank. We do not sell your details.

How long we keep it

  • Records of pages read, topics read and audio played: 180 days.
  • Audit logs: 2 years.
  • Referral clicks: 1 year.
  • Records of mail sent: 2 days.
  • Login codes: 1 day after they expire.
  • Orders, invoices and payment screenshots: kept with the order, for accounting.
  • Paid payouts, with the PAN: kept as a tax record.

Erasing your data

Write to us from your account's email to ask for erasure. If you have a payout waiting, we pay it or reject it first. We then:

  • blank your name, email, mobile number and other identity details on your account;
  • delete your notes, markings, bookmarks, revised marks, reading progress, listening progress and listening position;
  • delete your reading days, streaks and quiz attempts;
  • delete any Notify me request held for your email;
  • replace your referral code with a random one that holds no part of your name, in the code's record and in the statement of each order that used it;
  • blank your IP address, browser and device description on your login sessions, your devices and the records of pages read;
  • blank your UPI ID on all your payouts, and your PAN on rejected payouts;
  • blank the note our admins kept when giving you access, and the reason recorded on a security flag about your account.

Your account row stays, so that the records linked to it remain valid, but nothing in it identifies you. These records stay after erasure:

  • your orders and invoices, with the name, email, UPI ID and IP address on them, because we need them for accounting;
  • the PAN on a paid payout, kept as a tax record, which only the owner can open;
  • your referral code's row and history, under the new random code;
  • records of pages read, topics read and audio played, for 180 days, with your IP address removed;
  • the reason an admin gave for ending an access, and the note on a closed security flag;
  • audit logs, for 2 years, exactly as they were written.

When an account is erased, its details leave the live site at once. Encrypted backups made before that keep them until those backups are deleted, within about 6 months. We open a backup only to recover the site.
